Choreographer for The Force Dance Company
Michelle Loizeaux grew up competing regionally and nationally as a dancer in Broadway Bound's Force dance company and as a member of the Hunterdon Central Regional High School Dance Team. She also acquired significant credentials and recognition for theater performances, including a New Jersey Perry Award for Best Young Actress in a Musical. Michelle trained with renowned teachers Frank Hatchett and Finis Jhung, as well as at the New Jersey School of Ballet, and traveled to New York City and Las Vegas on performance scholarships. Michelle attended the George Washington University where she was a member of the nationally ranked First Ladies Dance Team and a board member, producer, and choreographer for the campus student dance company. She also performed with this company as a principle dancer through four seasons. Michelle functioned as Head Coach for the dance team at The Catholic University of America, as well as worked for the Universal Dance Association as a staff instructor. UDA is known for its nationally televised dance team competitions (ESPN2) and acclaimed summer dance programs. She has also taught classes, workshops, and summer intensives for dance teams and dance companies alike. Over the years, Michelle has acquired a wide range of choreography credentials including large-scale musical productions for schools and regional theaters, dance team routines, dance company performances, and studio competition numbers. Her choreography has been consistently awarded throughout the regional and national competition circuits. Michelle currently lives in Washington, DC, where she works as Director of Revenue Operations for The Knot Worldwide. |
