Choreographer for The Force Dance Company
Gianna Sicola started her dance career with Broadway Bound Dance Center at the age of three and began competing in 2010. Now with 15 years of training behind her, she is beginning to pursue her love for both teaching and dance by becoming one of BBDC’s instructors. Over many years Gianna has been trained in styles of dance including ballet/pointe, jazz, contemporary/modern, hip hop and tap. In addition to dance, Gianna has also intensively trained in acrobatics and gymnastics. She has worked with teachers and choreographers throughout the studio in addition to other professional choreographers, coaches, and dancers outside the studio. Dancing at Broadway Bound has brought Gianna to many regional and national competition stages, nursing homes, malls and other local venues. During Gianna’s competitive dancing career she has won many awards including special judges awards, high adjudications, and top 10 overalls. Gianna has always been up for new challenges and learning new skills and wants to inspire younger dancers to push and challenge themselves in any way possible. Since dancing is Gianna’s number one passion, she loves having the ability to give others the opportunity to experience the same love for dance that she has had for many years now. Gianna truly enjoys teaching at BBDC because of the environment it provides for their dancers and the impact she can make on a student's experience. Being a dancer means more than just being able to dance. Gianna encourages her students to carry themselves with grace while pushing them to reach new limits, and enjoy what they are doing in the studio or on the stage. Gianna has an AA from Raritan Valley Community College in Education P-12 and is currently training under Mason Gross School of Arts where she will be obtaining a BA in Dance and a minor is Digital Communications, Information, and Media. She can’t wait to spread her love for the art of dance and hopes she can pass it down to the younger generations. |
